O
Our budget was just over $60,000 a year (pre-earthquake). Now, we are projecting it to be $80,000 due to the additional 20 children added to the program post January 12 earthquake.
That is $1,000 per child for absolutely everything, for a full year!
$125 = one month average cost for health care for the children $6,665 = cost for full program participation, for one whole month – everything!
NOT ONE DOLLAR DONATED GOES TOWARD FUND RAISING, ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES IN THE US, SHIPPING, BANK FEES, ETC. THESE EXPENSES ARE ABSORBED BY BOARD MEMBERS. SOME DAY, WE HOPE TO BE SELF-SUSTAINING! Again - 0% donor funds used for administration in the U.S., travel, and fundraising, etc. It is not at all about us … it is only about the children, the ACFFC family!
We greatly appreciate the donation of art supplies (please ask as to what is needed), new or slightly used clothing, and books in French and Kreyol. Please contact us to make arrangements and send to Judy Hoffman in Florida, she will send them along with friends and colleagues when they travel to Haiti, or she will bring them herself. In addition, we have recently been provided discounted/free shipping occasionally to Haiti and take advantage when ever possible. HERE IS AN EXERPT OF A LETTER WE RECEIVED FROM A WONDERFUL YOUNG GIRL, SOPHIA.

COMMENTS FROM JEN AND GUY PANTALEON, FREQUENT VISITORS TO ACFFC “Guy said he saw people outside the gates of ACFFC with birth certificates and said that every kid in Jacmel would do anything to be in a program like yours that actually works and takes great care of kids. We love ACFFC!” |
